A futuristic transparent residential space on the bustling streets of Athens! - Yanko Design

314 Compages Studio recently designed an enthralling architectural project on a humming street in Athens, Greece or more specifically Spefsipou Street. H1002 or Euphoria Ascent stands tall amongst neoclassical buildings originating from the 1870s. It's a refreshing touch of modernity, and a hint of the future slid in betwixt quintessential structures of the past. Still, what makes the building even more intriguing is the usage of frosted glass.

H1002 features frosted glass predominantly, creating a physically transparent space, that is warm, open up and radiant. The transparency of the structure allows light and air to stream in continuously, building a natural and organic atmosphere. In fact, frosted glass has been inserted inside the interiors also, then it looks like a ray of sunshine among a chain of otherwise ordinary buildings. Each floor features arcs, which function equally quirky windows,  providing a pop of geometric fun, while adding on to the open and inviting aura of the building.

H1002 provides surreal views of the Lycabettus Hills. Overlooking one of the nearly beautiful spots in Athens, with a fresh breeze consistently bravado in, H1002 is an ethereal architectural marvel, well illuminated with an otherworldly feel to it. I would love to set my eyes on this futuristic wonder. The next stop on my holiday checklist is Athens!
